Harper was hit during a fourth-inning at-bat against San Diego starter Blake Snell.
Snell released his 2-2 fastball up and in. Harper couldn't move.
The ball hit Harper in his grasp, and he quickly tumbled to the ground in torment.
Replay shows the ball hit Harper soundly on his hands.
Harper was noticeably vexed when he got up, clearly understanding the he was harmed.
